Job Description
SOFTWAVE TECH SOLUTIONS LTD is seeking a highly skilled IT Network Professional to support the design, implementation, and management of complex IT networks. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable network infrastructure across client operations. This role requires advanced technical expertise, strong problem-solving abilities, and a consultancy-focused approach to delivering tailored IT solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, configure, and maintain secure enterprise network systems (LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, firewalls).
Monitor network performance and implement strategies to optimise speed, availability, and security.
Install and manage networking hardware such as routers, switches, and access points.
Implement and maintain network security protocols in compliance with best practices and regulations.
Diagnose and resolve complex networking issues in a timely and efficient manner.
Provide expert consultancy and support to clients on IT networking solutions.
Collaborate with IT consultants and project teams to deliver customised solutions.
Produce detailed technical documentation, network diagrams, and reports.
Research, evaluate, and recommend emerging technologies to enhance service delivery.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.
Demonstrable experience as a Network Engineer, IT Network Professional, or similar role.
Strong knowledge of networking technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, BGP, OSPF, MPLS).
Hands-on experience with enterprise-grade networking equipment (Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent).
Familiarity with cloud networking platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) is desirable.
Skilled in network monitoring, analysis, and diagnostic tools.
Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple client projects and work independently.
